Directed By: William Beaudine
MVP’s: Sammy Petrillo, Bela Lugosi, Charlita, Muriel Landers, Duke Mitchell, Al Kikume, Ray “Crash” Corrigan, Mickey Simpson
Plot: Martin & Lewis impersonators, Mitchell and Petrillo, are on their way to a USO concert to benefit the boys in Guam when their plane crashes down on a tropical isle. Cue island cutie meet-cutes and the rise of the terrible Dr. Zabor whose mad experiments in (d)evolution breed Brooklyn gorillas.
Review: Y’all like it when Jim Carey does Jerry Lewis schtick but have you met Sammy Petrillo? This is another maximalists entertainment picture that aims to please from beginning to end. From the great William Beading no less. Join the cult. The water’s fine.
