Plot: David Madison is a police detective with a lot of ghosts. When body parts start washing up out of the sewer, the question is posed, Does Chicago have a ripper their hands? Or could it be a gator flushed down the commode made giant by growth hormones in pharmaceutical runoff? Will David get the girl, herpetologist Marissa Kendall? And just how far up the chain-of-command in City Hall does the corruption go? As the bodies start piling up, David will find little time to contemplate these as he’s urged above and below the streets to go mano y mano with one ornery gator.
